Product Description
The CycleOps 300 Pro Indoor Cycle solves a myriad of challenges to training effectively indoors. It's true that rollers offer a natural ride feel, and are a little more engaging than a rear wheel trainer, but frankly, it's a bear to sprint on them. On the other side of the coin, trainers allow heavy sprint training, or even to chock the front wheel higher in order to simulate climbing intervals, but they awkwardly immobilize the rear triangle of the bike that would otherwise move naturally during out-of-the-saddle efforts. These ailments simply stress the functionality of the 300 Pro. And not only does it allow all of the aforementioned efforts, but it also feels road-like, it provides a wealth of data, and it saves your beloved race bike from the rigors of indoor use. This 300 Pro Indoor Cycle comes with the CycleOps Joule 2.0 cycling computer as standard equipment, along with a PowerTap power meter in the rear flywheel. This equipment is the differentiates it from the 200 Pro. With the power readings, you'll get accurate digital feedback to know exactly what your effort is, not just what it feels like. The Joule 2.0 uses ANT+ technology to communicate wirelessly to the PowerTap hub. And if you choose to use the Joule 2.0 on your bike outdoors, it will also communicate with any other ANT+ powermeter and/or cadence and speed sensors. However, riding your bike with the Joule and no powermeter will still enable you to track every detail of your ride, save for the power data. Please Note: This particular PowerTap in the rear flywheel operates on a narrow portion of the frequency range within the full breadth of ANT+. This means that, even though the Joule 2.0 is easily used to detect other powermeters, you may or may not be able to substitute another ANT+ CPU to read your power data on the 300 Pro Indoor Cycle. With the Joule, though, you can track a variety of information as you ride.
