For 2016 the Charge Cooker SS 27.5" mountain bike continues to impress with its design objectives of simplicity and efficiency, but with added twists to its spec that kicks up the performance while still ensuring dependability. This is a single speed drivetrain bike with a fully rigid fork, a solid machine you can use to hone skills, improve efficiency or enjoy a trail bike you don't have to mess with. Charge bikes are known for achieving a smart balance of high performance and affordability, and the Cooker SS continues the mission. The Tange Infinity chromoly frame offers an exceptionally smooth ride, soaking up road and trail chatter as only steel can. The fork is a matched Tange Infinity chromoly design, rigid, light enough and plenty tough, so your climbing and more intense efforts become more efficient but never harsh. Again, that's thanks to the "just right" give and feel of steel, which gives you the very comfortable option of riding pavement to get to the trail. Backing up this rock solid fuselage is a single speed drivetrain with an 18T cog and a Truvativ E400 crank sporting a 32T chainring and a bashguard. This gearing combination is excellent for pretty much any trail. Braking is handled by a superb set of Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm and 160mm rotors front and rear. They'll shed speed in virtually any weather or terrain. The Cooker SS sports tubeless-ready tires and rims, rolls 27.5" wheels now, and offers all the handling advantages. Just add sealant and the WTB Trailblazer 2.8" tires, with Dual DNA Compound, set up beautifully with the Custom Charge Midi 40mm ID rims. The performance is tangible, allowing you to run pressures lower than you might thought possible.
